![]() ![]() Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and being part of Windows 10. Unable to boot the device with error: 0xc0000428 on Windows 10 ![]() If I continue I get a blue-background screen that gives me various repair and recovery options as well as access to a command line where I can try other things. When I boot from the disk I am told that it looks like I'm in the middle of an update and am given the option of taking the disc out and rebooting to continue the update (which takes me to the above screen) or leaving it in and continuing. I use "Esc" to get to the UEFI settings and set the boot order so that it will boot from that disc. I downloaded the Win10 ISO file and created a recovery disk. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer. The digital signature for this file couldn't be verified. I have an ASUS laptop that came with Win 8.1 and was upgraded to Win 10. ![]()
